The Fort Worth Cats took on the Albuquerque Cacti at Albuquerque Sports Stadium.

Fort Worth Cats starter Mike Leach was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Albuquerque Cacti, 4-1. Ethan Pollard closed it out for his 17th save.

Fort Worth won the game in part because of Ramon Sandoval. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cats ahead, 2-1. For the game, Sandoval had 2 doubles and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

Leach called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
