Hitmen Bump Off Canadians, 8-4
|
Calgary first baseman Theo Bridger played a vital role in his team's 8-4 triumph over Vancouver. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Calgary. Calgary starter Seth Watkins was credited with the win after throwing 99 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 7-6. Calgary is now 74-81.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Stanley Park crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Bridger told reporters after the game.
