The Amarillo Armadillos got a sterling performance from pitcher Mike Batten, but the Pasadena Bumblebees still prevailed, 4-3. Batten threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Bill Dukes, the winning pitcher, is now 13-11. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 4. The third-place Bumblebees are 78-77.
