Beaches Take Tight Tangle
|
The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.
In a low-scoring contest between the Cozumel Beaches and the Calgary Cowboys, Andrew Stith was the X factor. The Cozumel right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Nate Mosby picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. George Main was tagged with the loss.
Antonio Paiz was the walk-off hero for Cozumel. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beaches pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We found a way to win tonight," Paiz said.
Cozumel has a record of 71-84, placing them 5th in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
