Chicago got a terrific game from left fielder Miguel Benavides. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Dallas, 10-7. Benavides was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Dallas reliever Matt Lopas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dan Lenart was saddled with the loss. Dallas is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 12th win in 32 games.

Dallas pinch hitter Chris Hogg helped the Texans go up, 9-7, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Hogg hit a 2-run single off Chicago pitcher Dan Lenart.

"It's a long season," said Hogg. "We'll keep working to improve."
