Heyward Goes Wild, But Caterpillars Win
Rob Heyward did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Minneapolis Freeze from being beaten, 10-7, to the Peoria Caterpillars at Excavatar Park. Heyward was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Ben Volpe was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Devin Gammon. At 59-73, Peoria is in 6th place in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League.

Jordan Roldan had a big 3-run home run for the Caterpillars in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Peoria trailing 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Devin Gammon and swatted a home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Caterpillars ahead, 5-4.

"Very good win for our guys," said Roldan.
