The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Ambition grabbed a win, 4-3, at Excavatar Park, overcoming a fine effort from Peoria pitcher Mike DeGraffenried. DeGraffenried went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Tom Corfield picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-4. Kenny Hoyles, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2061 draft, was tagged with the loss. David Lewis closed out the game, earning his 6th save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jimmy Cox? The 24-year old shortstop Cox stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put Indianapolis up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Cox.

The 4th-place Ambition bumped their record to 63-68.
