Marshals Topple Mustangs with Late Rally
The San Jose Marshals did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the Billings Mustangs at Cobb Field. Nobody did more than first baseman Izzy Barron, who captured player of the game honors. The Marshals bumped their record to 88-63 with this latest triumph.

Jared Carpenter, who is tied for 10th in the TAAA with a .923 OPS, helped out the San Jose cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.

Barron called the triumph "a good team win."
