Cats Win 4th Straight, Take Down Beaches, 6-1
Fort Worth pitcher Eric Jefcoat had a large part in his team subduing the Cozumel Beaches, 6-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Jefcoat got the win, improving to 7-8. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Fort Worth has 4 straight wins, Cozumel 5 straight losses.

Fort Worth used the hitting of Ben Overby to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cats on top, 2-1. For the game, Overby had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Brad Jones, the Cozumel manager.
