Minneapolis got a terrific game from catcher Todd Edwards. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Peoria, 6-5. Edwards went 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Peoria has now won 3 straight, while the Freeze have lost 3 in a row.

The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ryan Stagg. For the game, Stagg went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Peoria a 2-0 lead.
