Wind Defeat Cats in 10
The Waimea Wind did just enough to sneak past the Fort Worth Cats, 4-3, at The Wind Tunnel. Waimea pitcher Daniel Thompson, in particular, had a standout performance. Daniel Castro, now 6-7, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The 5th-place Cats now sit at 67-84.

The Wind got a clutch hit from shortstop Chris Crofts. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wind.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli.
