With 5-4 Win, Cats Improve to 85-65
|
Fort Worth parlayed a decent outing from starter Jesse Miner into a solid win over the Cozumel Beaches. The final score was 5-4. Matt Korney earned the save, his 5th. At 85-65, the Cats are currently first in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ben Overby? The Fort Worth first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cats on top, 5-2. For the game, Overby had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Jesse is a gamer," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli.
