Stars Field was rocking after an exciting Swallowtails win.

Behind the hitting of David Ballard, the State College Swallowtails stopped the Peoria Caterpillars, 5-4. Ballard was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Swallowtails. State College pitcher Steve Marasco earned the win, hiking his record to 1-3. Kenny Hoyles suffered the loss.

State College got a clutch hit from Matt Roberson. The second baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said State College manager Afalku Coffie. "It's usually not just one thing."

State College now owns a record of 63-66.
