It was a fun time at The Wind Tunnel, where the Fairfield Flash and Waimea Wind tangled.

Jon Gonzales never let the Flash get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Wind to a 4-1 win. Waimea reliever Mike Crawford picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Patrick Blakey shouldered the loss.

Andy Robinson hit a 2-run triple off Juan Maldonado in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Wind in front, 3-1. Robinson had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Waimea skipper Mario Perez.

The Wind bumped their record to 85-63 with this latest triumph.
