Caterpillars Get 4th Straight Win with Late Rally
Stars Field was the site for TML AAA action featuring the State College Swallowtails and Peoria Caterpillars.

Starting pitcher Ciro Della Volpe did his part in helping the Peoria Caterpillars thwart the State College Swallowtails, 4-0. Della Volpe, now 6-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing no runs.

Peoria used the timely hitting of David Albright to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Caterpillars on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Albright hailed his team's "single-minded focus."

The 'W' lifts Peoria's record to 71-57.
