Led by Jayden Fowler, the Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Fairfield Flash, 14-9. Fowler, a native of Alameda, California, went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Armadillos. By defeating Fairfield, the 5th-place Armadillos improved to 58-70.

Amarillo got a big at-bat from Asheville, North Carolina native Brad Coates, who in the bottom of the third hit a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Armadillos ahead, 13-2.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Coates said.
