Millers Get Better of Earthquakes, 7-3
|
Milwaukee beat San Francisco on the strength of starting pitcher Jay Davis's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. Chris Wethington, who led the RCL in saves with 43 in 2061, earned the save for Milwaukee. The win leaves Milwaukee with a record of 12-20.
Jared LaBorde went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Milwaukee. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris Crawford. It was his 10th walk of the season.
"We want to make a habit of winning," LaBorde said after the game.
