Bison Earn Late Win
|
The Buffalo Bison defeated the Eureka Hornets, 7-6, at The Nest. Jerry Thomason produced 1 single and 1 double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 1. Picking up his 1st save was fan favorite Gary Halliwell. The loss puts Eureka at 2-1.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Josh Bye came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Eureka pitcher Nathan Al-Assel, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Buffalo on top, 7-5.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Bye told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
