The Reno Raiders bested the Peoria Caterpillars by a score of 6-5, with shortstop Gabe Latorre getting the main credit. On the day, Latorre went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Raiders. Kai-ge Ching picked up the save, his 11th. Reno is now 57-90, while Peoria is 83-64.
The Raiders got a big at-bat from designated hitter Patrick Moran. For the game, Moran went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 112nd hit of the season gave Reno a 4-3 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Latorre said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
