Left Fielder Wells 4-for-4 in Fairfield Win
|
A good performance from second baseman Hunter Wells helped the Fairfield Flash defeat the Cozumel Beaches, 7-4. Wells was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Flash. Rafael Alfaro went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right-hander struck out 1 and walked 1. With the win, he's now 2-2 this season. The Flash, at 63-83, sit in last place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
With Fairfield leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Wells hit a fastball from David Harkey for a 2-run home run. It was his 47th home run of the season and put the Flash ahead, 3-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Wells told the Fairfield Today.
