Freeze Fall to Muskies, 4-2
|
Madison Muskies starter Barry Ledgerwood was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Minneapolis Freeze, 4-2. Ledgerwood, the winner, moves to 5-17. He threw 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Earning his 3rd save for Madison was Brad Rideout.
Daniel Reyes was 1 for 2 with 2 walks for Madison. The 29-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Karl Harrison. It was his 65th hit of the season.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Ledgerwood. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
Madison occupies 5th place in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League at 63-82.
