Ambition Suffer 3-2 Home Defeat
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Minneapolis Freeze and the Indianapolis Ambition, pitcher Josh Youmans was the difference between victory and defeat. The Minneapolis left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Freeze win. Youmans picked up the win for Minneapolis, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. The Freeze saw their win-loss record go to 60-65. At the same time, the Ambition fell to 77-48.
Minneapolis used a well-timed hit by Josh Flippo to capture the win. The first baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Freeze ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Josh is good at sticking to his strengths," said Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat.
