The Thunder Bay Black Bears topped the Waimea Wind, 7-5, the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Khalil Barner. On the day, Barner went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Black Bears. Efrain Gutierrez recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 8 for 8. The win gives Thunder Bay a season record of 67-58.

With Thunder Bay leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Barner hit a curveball from Jeremy Harris for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Black Bears ahead, 6-2.
