Beaches Down Cacti, 5-3
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Beaches beat the Cacti.

The Cozumel Beaches knocked off the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-3, in RCL AAA action at Bar Habor Stadium. Cozumel pitcher and Güines, Cuba, native Ruben Fernandez had an outstanding performance. Jordan Lopez, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.1 innings.

Cozumel took a 4-3 lead on Jose Garcia's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Garcia hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Albuquerque pitcher Josh Tibbetts visibly frustrated.

"We've got a great group of guys," Fernandez said, "and we're having fun right now."

The Beaches saw their win-loss record go to 92-53. At the same time, the Cacti fell to 76-69.
