The Astoria Argonauts faced a tough opponent in Pasadena pitcher John Pickens, but found a way to pull out the victory at Golden Fleece Park by a final score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Pickens went 9 innings and allowed 4 runs. The Argonauts, at 65-58, sit in third place in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League.

Astoria got a game-changing hit from Travis Arant. The third baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a winner.
