|
Calgary pitcher Ricky Sanchez had a large part in his team subduing the Waimea Wind, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Sanchez yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 14-6. With the victory, the Hitmen upped their record to 80-43.
Kevin Stark, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2062 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Stark contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Calgary up, 3-2.
