The Peoria Caterpillars beat the Madison Muskies, 11-6, at The Corral. Peoria catcher George Cronin had the hot bat. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Sergio Hernandez in relief. His record improves to 11-6. Mike Ming took the loss for Madison.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Cronin hit a 3-run home run off Mike Ming. It propelled the Caterpillars into the lead, 5-2.
