The Amarillo Armadillos pinned a convincing loss on the Billings Mustangs, 10-3, at Cobb Field. Carlos Ayala was a main factor in the win. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Amarillo. The 5th-place Armadillos are now 55-67, the Mustangs 44-78.

In the top of the fifth inning, the Armadillos grabbed the lead when Danny Sullivan rapped a two-out single. Amarillo was trailing 3-2, when Sullivan hit a 2-run single off Bobby Avila to put his team in front, 4-3.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Sullivan.
