The Huntington Station Ramrods could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jason Sanders into a win. Instead, the Dallas Texans prevailed, 5-4. Sanders threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Dallas reliever Luis Ozuna picked up the win. Oscar Ovalle took the loss for Huntington Station. Chris Nugent picked up the save, his 5th.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Jose Leyba came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Huntington Station pitcher Billy Kusnier, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Dallas on top, 5-4.

Leyba said his team "played with focus and determination."

With the loss, Huntington Station falls to 10-16.
