Led by Jason Hansen, the Bowling Green Racers defeated the Cozumel Beaches, 9-3. Hansen hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times for the Racers. Ivan Guido earned the save for Bowling Green, his 1st. With the win, Bowling Green upped its record to 70-70.

With Bowling Green leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Hansen batted against Cozumel pitcher Matt Donohue. Hansen hit a cutter to left for a solo home run. His 34th home run of the season put the Racers on top, 3-1.

"That was not our best effort," said Cozumel skipper Masato Takagi.
