Ikinya Swings Privateers to 12-7 Win
The Memphis Privateers beat the Fairfield Flash, 12-7, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Atissi Ikinya, in particular, was impressive. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Memphis starter Brad Helmick was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 6-2. Memphis is now 68-71. Fairfield is 61-77.

Memphis used a well-timed hit by Dave Moorman to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Privateers ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"Feels good to get the job done," Moorman said after the game.
