Cabo San Lucas turned a good effort from starter Dan Brown into a win over the Maple Marauders at Field de Los Layendas. The Toreros won the game, 4-2. Brown yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. The Toreros, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.

Paul Sullivan had a big 2-run double for the Toreros in the bottom of the third inning. With Cabo San Lucas leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from former first round draft pick Kitaw Kanaifu and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Toreros ahead, 4-1.

"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Maple manager Aubert Licci.
