Hawaii Slaps 5-1 Loss on Texans
|
Carlos Avila pitched a gem to lead Hawaii to victory over the Dallas Texans, 5-1. Dallas falls to 8-18.
Rafael Santiago, who finished 2nd in the RCL in home runs with 37 in 2060, helped out the Hawaii cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop drew 2 walks.
"Our offense was purring," said Hawaii manager Naoki Okada. "Like a well-oiled machine."
