Blazers Handed 7-1 Loss
|
Eureka registered a win at Arson Arena by beating the Bloomington Blazers, 7-1. Pitcher Jonathan Ortiz was one reason why the Hornets triumphed. Ezedine Adegoke got the save, the 1st for him this season. Eureka is off to a hot start at 18-8.
Eureka used the hitting of John Campbell to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Hornets on top, 2-0. For the game, Campbell had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Campbell.
