At Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium, the Buffalo Bison and Walnut Creek Warriors were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Elijah McNeil led Walnut Creek to a win over Buffalo. The final score was 8-6. McNeil, who finished 3rd in the TML in wins above replacement with 5.9 last year, collected 2 RBI, while going 3 for 5 at the plate. The second baseman also scored 3 times. Russ Gilleo earned the save for Walnut Creek, his 6th of the year.

Walnut Creek needed the clutch hitting of Kevin McArdle to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Warriors on top, 6-5. For the game, McArdle had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Buffalo skipper Jon Green said.

The loss puts Buffalo at 12-16.
