The Tallahassee Captains overcame a pretty good performance by Minneapolis third baseman Rob Heyward, beating the Freeze, 6-4, at The Carrier Dome. Heyward was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Danny Chase picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-3 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 2 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Hisham Kontar earned his 8th save in 9 chances.

Melvin Cintron had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Tallahassee. With the bases loaded and the Captains leading 4-3, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Cintron.
