Led by Jay Nolan, the Waimea Wind defeated the Fairfield Flash, 5-4, in 11 innings. Nolan was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Wind. Waimea is now 72-66.
Nolan came through with the big blow. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh and one down, he hit a 2-run home run, giving Waimea the walk-off win.
"If it can go wrong, it will go wrong," said Edward Batkin, the Fairfield manager.
