Victory Over Kodiaks Takes Minneapolis to 89-45
The Minneapolis Freeze defeated the Calgary Kodiaks, 7-5, at Foothills Stadium. Jose Bonilla was named player of the game for Minneapolis. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 2 he knocked in. Alex Munoz got the win, improving to 12-2. Minneapolis used the clutch hitting of Chris Saipe to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Freeze ahead, 5-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Saipe told the Minneapolis Daily.
