The Eureka Hornets knocked off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 6-3, in Thurman Munson League action at The Nest. Eureka pitcher and Nagarote, Nicaragua, native Cesar Romo had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was Romo, now 3-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The win lifts Eureka to a record of 13-13.

The Hornets got a big at-bat from shortstop Wanjala Bagatui. For the game, Bagatui went 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Eureka a 3-1 lead.
