Black Bears Topple Hitmen as Farthing Shines
Thunder Bay second baseman Pete Farthing made his presence felt in the 9-2 Black Bears triumph over the Calgary Hitmen. Farthing went 3-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Thunder Bay bumps their record to 50-81 with the win.

Farthing had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a double. The Black Bears went on to win.

"Nervous? No," said Farthing. "It was my time to shine."
