Black Bears Walk It Off for 69th Win of Season
Hendersonville got a terrific performance from pitcher John Richardson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Thunder Bay Black Bears. Thunder Bay won the Edgbaston contest, 2-1. Richardson threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The first-place Black Bears hiked their record to 69-46.

The decisive blow was delivered by Danny Torres in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher J.P. Larson to win the game for Thunder Bay. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Torres said.
