The Pasadena Bumblebees got a good effort from starter Joel Holt in defeating the Peoria Caterpillars at The Hole. The final score was 5-1. Holt, now 4-7, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 6, and allowing 1 run. With the win over Peoria, the Bumblebees improved to 70-65.

The Bumblebees benefited from an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Pasadena was leading 2-1 when Jack Gosse hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Pasadena in front, 3-1.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Gosse.
