Yun-fat Liang, who finished 5th in the TML in ERA with 3.83 last year, was locked in. The right-hander led the San Francisco Earthquakes to a 2-1 win against the Eureka Hornets at Golden Gate Park. Quirino Lorenzetti snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2.2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. With the win, San Francisco improves its record to 14-12.
Alex Rodrigues chipped in for San Francisco, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Liang. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
