Flash Dealt 4-3 Loss by Calgary
|
The Calgary Hitmen did just enough to sneak past the Fairfield Flash, 4-3, at Mckinley Park. Calgary pitcher Joe Blevins, in particular, had a standout performance. Blevins picked up the win for Calgary, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 14-4. The victory gives Calgary a record of 87-44.
Shortstop Gary Greenlaw made an impact for Calgary, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Raul Ramirez in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Greenlaw was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Greenlaw called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
