Amarillo got a terrific game from left fielder Noah Chadick. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Cozumel, 6-5. Chadick went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. Ricky Rocker earned the win to go to 5-6. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 1 strikeout in 8 innings of work. Earning his 20th save of the year was Brandon Hubacek.

The Beaches beat the Armadillos in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Jason Bankhead produced in the top of the eighth. Batting against Mike Lake, Bankhead gave his team the lead, 6-4, when he hit a 2-run single.

"Good team win," Bankhead said. "I love it when a plan comes together."

The win for the Beaches lifted their record to 56-56.
