A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Albany Firebirds and Calgary Kodiaks.

Ashton Dillon had a big hand in the 14-3 Albany triumph over Calgary. He rattled off 4 hits in 5 at-bats, scoring 3 times and knocking in 5 runs. Rod Horta was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts.

With Albany leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Dillon hit a 2-run single off Calgary hurler Ricky Suazo. It was the 48th hit of the season for Dillon and put his team ahead, 3-0.

"Nice to score a bunch of runs," said Dillon after the game.
