The Joplin Fireballs knocked off the Pasadena Bumblebees, 7-4, at The Firepit. Andy Chambers was a big reason Joplin won. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The 5th-place Fireballs sport a record of 47-63.

Bret Hoekstra had a big 2-run double for the Fireballs in the bottom of the first inning. With Joplin leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a slider from Jeremy Parker, who is tied for 6th in the TAAA in strikeouts with 95, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fireballs ahead, 5-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Chambers told the Joplin Daily News.
