Yankovich Leads Falcons to Win
Forest Acres and Joplin duked it out at The Firepit and the Falcons came out victorious.

The Forest Acres Falcons knocked off the Joplin Fireballs, 8-6, at The Firepit. Howard Yankovich, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Forest Acres won. The third baseman went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. At 67-60, the Falcons are currently third in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Alex Campos was at the plate when Forest Acres scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Falcons to go in front, 7-6.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Campos.
