Sasquatch Sneak Past Moonshiners, 3-2
|
Asheville wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Victor Lara, falling to the Seattle Sasquatch, 3-2. Lara threw 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. With the loss, Asheville is 13-12.
Charles McNeil came through with a big-time hit for Seattle. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Getting the win feels nice," said McNeil. "More importantly, I had a good game."
