Albuquerque took on State College in front of a lively crowd.

Riding the 3-hit performance of the 28-year old left fielder Mario Alonso, the Albuquerque Cacti defeated the State College Swallowtails, 6-2. Chris Lechelt picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 6-2.

Colin Magne helped out the Albuquerque cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Albuquerque manager Randy Haynes. "Our pregame was pretty good."
