Fort Worth starter Joey Anderson pitched well against the Albuquerque Cacti at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Nick Loyd picked up the save, his 25th. With the win, Fort Worth pushed its record to 54-54.

Fort Worth used a timely hit from Roberto Miranda to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cats ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Anderson.
