Gremlins Pin 12-4 Loss on Bighorn
|
The Houghton Gremlins took on the Bighorn Bison at Golden Goebels Park.
The Houghton Gremlins cruised to a win over the Bighorn Bison, 12-4, at Golden Goebels Park. Carlos Casillas, who is tied for 10th in the RCL in runs scored with 17, led the way, going 2-for-4 for Houghton. Greg Hobson, the winning pitcher, is now 3-2. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 3.
Miguel Trujillo, who is tied for 4th in the RCL in bases on balls with 19, contributed to the Houghton win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
Casillas told a Houghton Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Bighorn is 12-14 after the loss.
