The first-place Minneapolis Freeze picked up another win at The Ice Box.

The Minneapolis Freeze got a stellar effort from pitcher Dan Ayers, helping Minneapolis score a 7-2 win over the visiting Candiac Redbirds. The first-place Freeze, at 84-40, now lead their division by 9 games.

The Freeze got a big at-bat from left fielder Jamie Drum. For the game, Drum went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Minneapolis a 1-0 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Drum told the Minneapolis Daily.
